Bridgehead Communications has appointed former Deputy Prime Minister and Cabinet Minister, the Rt Hon Damian Green, as a Senior Adviser, further strengthening the firm’s expertise in adult social care policy, public affairs and long-term reform strategy.
Green served as the Conservative Member of Parliament for Ashford from 1997 to 2024 and held a number of senior ministerial roles in government, including Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and First Secretary of State. Earlier in his career, he worked in the No.10 Policy Unit under Prime Minister Sir John Major.
He has played a longstanding role in shaping debate on the future of social care, including serving as Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Adult Social Care and authoring several major reports on funding reform and integration between health and care systems. He currently serves as Chair of The Social Care Foundation and remains actively involved in cross-party discussions on the long-term sustainability of Britain’s care system.
In his role at Bridgehead Communications, Green will provide strategic advice to care providers, CareTech businesses, suppliers to the sector and local authorities on policy positioning, government engagement and navigating structural reform.
